Bidwell point is a Corps of Engineers Campground that has needed to be updated for quite some time. A lot of their parking spots are not big enough for large campers. And, due to the amount of driftwood piled up, a lot of the spots cannot be reached let alone even parked on. Hopefully for the summer of 2018 this will be cleared up and the park will again be a decent Campground. I will say this however, if you want to camp there, you had better make reservations 3 to 6 months ahead of time through reservation.gov. and, if you are hoping to get a walk-up site, you should be there on a Tuesday or Wednesday or you will most likely not get one for a weekend.
Great place to spend the weekend lots to do and very clean
Nice campground, however, whoever they have mowing is anoying. They come on a friday with about 10 mowers that ride up and down the roads for hours, then they sit for a couple hours and then ride up and down the pavement again. You would think they could do this during the week on less busy days. I bet they get paid well! So much for peace and quiet.
The park attendant is rarely at her post and the swimming area is a flooded with dangerous debris littering much of the area. After they get it cleared off it will be much nicer. The bathrooms were clean.
Loved watching a baptism there. Was really peaceful.
